The Mount Baker Station Area is especially vulnerable to earthquake risks. It is also a highly auto-centric hub that is not very accessible to other travelers, such as pedestrian and cyclists.  Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation has identified this area as lacking in parks, and neighborhood residents have expressed a desire for greater access to parks and open space. This project explores how a connected open space network that incorporates improved wayfinding and green stormwater infrastructure in Mount Baker neighborhood can contribute to community resilience in both everyday and emergency scenarios.
